The teaser video, on YouTube has crossed 4.8 million views at present. However, the real-time views have already crossed 5.6 million at the backend, and the views are increasing at a skyrocketing pace.
It is said that Kaala's teaser has already broken the Kabali's teaser record, in its first 12 hours.

“Kaala’s intro scene will be bigger than that of Kabali. It is a challenge to decide and plan the intro scene for Superstar Rajinikanth and I really enjoyed working on it. If you search on the internet for the best intro scenes of Superstar, one of the top few searches is Kabali. We have worked extra to give an even bigger and better intro in Kaala. When you watch the film you will definitely be happy because, we have tried to tap the complete potential of Superstar sir and have choreographed such an intro scene.”
