Rumour doing the rounds is that 2.0 might be pushed to April, 2018 from the earlier planned date (January 26, 2018). The speculation apparently gave birth to another talk that Rajinikanth-Pa Ranjith's Kaala would release on 2.0's announced theatrical release date.

Now Dhanush's Wunderbar Films have officially clarified this news, "Contrary to rumours and articles, #Kaala would not be ready for a January nor Pongal release. @dhanushkraja"
