The current #Metoo movement has inspired and encouraged several individuals to step forward and share their experience about sexual harassment. Sexual harassment does not always have to be projected with Women, this movement has brought out a large number of Men who voiced out their unfortunate incident. "This is us" star, Justin Hartley took this concept forward, by recently sharing his experience in an interview. He recounted an incident where one of his obsessive fans approached him in at a restaurant in Chicago and began kissing him without his consent. Taken aback, Justin pushed her away establishing that his personal space has been violated.
In the interview, he said to the fan "You do not walk up to people that you do not know and put your mouth on their face. If I did that to you, I would be in prison. Please do not do that. And not that I’m trying to teach you life lessons, but I feel like this is a really good one for you. Don’t do that to anybody ever again."
The aggressive fan seemed embarrassed but, had the audacity to request for a photograph with the actor a few minutes later.
“I’m usually really good with photos, but I’m like, ‘I’m not taking photos with you after you sexually harassed me. I’m good without a photo" Hartley said. “As she was leaving, she was, like, ‘Justin Hartley is a jerk,’ but not really jerk – something more foul. I was, like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me."
We hope this is a start for celebrities to speak up about their experiences.
