In a recent video message, National Award-winning actor Joju George said that he has been stranded in Wayanad for nineteen days due to the countrywide Coronavirus lockdown that has been put in place by the central and state governments.
George said that he came to Wayanad for undergoing a weight loss treatment at an Ayurvedic center, "I came here before the lockdown was announced and I haven't stepped out ever since the lockdown was announced, as I am determined to follow government's orders. My friends have been calling me ever since and I have been calling them too."
He said that in these times, it is necessary to communicate with your loved ones and be in constant touch with them. Joju also talked about shunning smoking and drinking during this period, "I haven't smoked or had a drink in the past nineteen days. There are many people who may get depressed under such conditions. Stay in touch with such people through video calling."
Joju appealed for calm and unity in these turbulent times, and expressed optimism by saying "this too shall pass". The actor will be seen in Dhanush's Jagame Thanthiram, Zakariya's Halal Love Story to name a few.
