JOAQUIN PHOENIX PULLS OFF A REAL-LIFE JOKER MOMENT - REQUESTS TO RELEASE PRISONERS! HERE'S WHY

Joaquin Phoenix played the lead in the 'Joker' directed by Todd Phillips and won the academy award under the category 'Best actor' for this portrayal of the character, after Heath Ledger in 'The Dark Knight'.

Today, Joaquin had made a request in support of releasing aging people from prisons in New York and the video of the same has been going viral on the internet. The 'Her' actor stated that proper safety and hygiene would not be maintained at prisons and that the inmates may die due to the Coronavirus's spread. 

And hence, Joaquin requested the New York's governor to grant clemency to the prisoners. However, the netizens' response to this request has been mixed. Check out the video, below:
