OFFICIAL: POPULAR ACTOR CONFIRMS HIS ROLE IN MANI RATNAM'S EPIC PONNIYIN SELVAN

Actor Jayaram's roles and films are known for providing wholesome entertainment and catering to audiences of all age groups. In a recent interview to a popular online media channel, Jayaram opened up about his involvement in an upcoming Tamil period film.

In the interview, when asked about Jayaram's first historical film, he said "I am privileged to be a part of one such project in Tamil. I am not at the liberty to reveal further since the project is at its nascent stages. I will be playing a bigger part in the biggest film of Tamil (cinema) history."

The actor must be referring to Mani Ratnam's big-budgeted project Ponniyin Selvan, which is  currently in its early stages of production. It was earlier speculated that Jayaram will be a part of the film's ensemble cast. Ponniyin Selvan is jointly produced by Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and Subaskaran's Lyca Productions.
