A few recent media reports stated that Marvel star Lashana Lynch will replace Daniel Craig as James Bond. However, the same is seen as misrepresentation. Lashana stars in the 25th James Bond film as a part of the spy’s team but she is not exactly taking over the character from the No Time to Die star.
Lashana will star as 007 only for the time Daniel Craig’s character will be absent from the scene. A few portions in the first half requires Daniel’s character to be locked up, so Lashana’s character takes over the role of 007 but she will be a colleague to Craig and not take over the character.
A lot of netizens have criticised Lashana thinking she’s replacing Daniel. Even otherwise, we don’t think it’s cool. No Time to Die has been heavily anticipated since it got postponed several times because of the pandemic and is now set for a April 2, 2021 release.
No Time To Die is directed by Cary Fukunaga and also features Rami Malek as Safin, a mysterious villain whose face is disfigured by scars, and Ana de Armas as Paloma, a CIA agent. Lea Seydoux and Christoph Waltz also appear, reprising their roles from Spectre, Dr. Madeline Swann and Blofeld respectively.
Daniel Craig is set to retire playing James Bond after 15 years of playing the celebrated character.
