Recently, the Malayalam Cinema Industry association (AMMA) released a statement, asking actors and technicians to take a pay-cut in their upcoming projects, until the industry is back to normal.
Now, producer J Sathishkumar of JSK Film Corporation has posted a tweet, regarding the voluntary pay-cut in Tamil cinema, by top actors and technicians. His post is indeed turning a few heads, as he has said that many actors with whom he had spoken to, had agreed to take a cut in their salary. However, he has not mentioned any names of actors, actresses or technicians in his statement.
His statement read “#Tamilfilmindustry will glow bcs of this disaster situation நடிகர், நடிகைகள்,இயக்குனர்கள், முக்கிய தொழில் நுட்ப கலைஞர்களின் 50% சம்பளத்தை குறைக்க முடிவு lots of top hero’s director’s spoke with me & said they all r happily willingly going to support producers this is called unity” (sic)(Top Actors, Actresses and technicians will take a 50% Salary cut - Many top folks in the industry who spoke with me have happily agreed to support producers)
