Celebrated Indian actor Irrfan Khan, who predominantly works in Hindi cinema, has been admitted to hospital due to a sudden deterioration of his health.
According to Bollywood media reports, Khan, 54, has been admitted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Mumbai-based Kokilaben Hospital. The actor was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour and was still recovering from it.
Irrfan Khan has been undergoing treatment in London and the actor was shuttling between Mumbai and London. The actor was recently seen in the Homi Adajania directed dramedy Angrezi Medium, which also had Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor, Deepak Dobriyal and others.
Irrfan Khan recently lost his mother Saeeda Begum and was unable to attend her funeral owing to the ongoing lockdown. A recipient of the Padma Shri award, Irrfan Khan has acted in several international ventures including The Namesake, Life of Pi and The Amazing Spiderman.
