"I WAS 4 MONTHS OLD IN MY MOTHER'S WOMB AND HE WAS 7 MONTHS IN HIS MOTHER'S...": SURIYA BREAKS DOWN AT PUNEETH RAJKUMAR'S MEMORIAL!

Condolences poured in from fans and colleagues from the film fraternity, as well as sports personalities and politicians. After his mortal remains were kept at Kanteerava Stadium for public homage, Puneeth was laid to rest close to his father, the legendary actor Dr Rajkumar, and mother Parvathamma at the Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru. 

Fans have been thronging his memorial in large numbers even days after his death. Celebrities who couldn't attend his last rites paid tribute to the actor in his memorial as they laid floral garlands and remembered their memories with him. Actor Suriya recent paid tributes to the late actor and also visited his house to share his condolences with the family members.

Speaking to the media after visiting his memorial, Suriya said, "It's unfair. This shouldn't have happened. We are unable to accept what has happened. My family and Annavaru Dr Rajkumar's family is very close and are very fond of each other. Appa had a lot of memorable times with their family. I remember what my mother said...I was four months old in my mother's womb while he was seven months old in his mother's womb. That's when we knew each other for the first time. None of us in our family could accept what happened to him."

"He would always be smiling in every picture and video. I've only heard about all the wonderful things he's done to the society and people who he really loves. We will always hold on to his memories and keep him smiling in our hearts. We will not let go of that. We pray to give more strength to his family, daughters, Anna and the entire well wishers. We will terribly miss him. My prayers and deepest condolences to his family," he added.

Earlier, Actor Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan too visited his memorial and paid tributes to the late actor. Actor Vishal, who was a good friend of Puneeth’s, announced recently that he would take care of the 1,800 students whose education was being funded by the late actor.
