The 50th Indian International Film Festival is taking place in Goa while on the other hand in Mumbai a shocking incident took place. Popular sound editor of Bollywood, Nimish Pilankar passed away at the tender age of 29.
Nimish had suffered from high blood pressure problem resulting in brain haemorrhage. He has worked in the sound department of several films including the likes of recent movies like Housefull 4, Bypass Road, Marjaavaan and many more.
According to a report, he had been working day and night in the recent days for a web series. Popular journalist, film critic and a writer associated with many classic films, Khalid Mohamed took to his social media and has given a fierce statement regarding this.
“Sound technician NIMISH PILANKAR, aged 29, passed away. Blood pressure shot up ldng to brain haemorrhage. Technicians r backbone of Bollywood cinema. But does anyone care? It’s hi time the various associations, producers n stars who have more swag than sense did. Right now” - Khalid tweeted.
To which, Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty replied, “Shocking! @Jhajhajha thank you for taking a stand! We stand with you... Dear Bollywood, how many more sacrifices we need to see the real picture... “the answer my friend is blowing in the wind....”
