Mohan Raja is among the successful directors of Tamil cinema. He began his career in 2001 on this day, by directing the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film ‘Thenkasipattanam’. The Telugu remake was titled ‘Hanuman Junction’ and starred Arjun, Jagapathi Babu, Sneha, Laya, Venu and others in the lead and was a successful venture at the box office.
He made his Tamil debut with ‘Jayam’. The film introduced his brother Ravi and Sadha as the leads. Post that, he churned out many successful films such as ‘M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi’, ‘Unakkum Enakkum’, ‘Santosh Subramaniam’, ‘Velayudham’, ‘Thani Oruvan’ and ‘Velaikkaran’.
