“WITH THE NEW TRAILER, YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT”

We would like to remind that Vijay Sethupathi’s Mellisai directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi has been re-christened as Puriyatha Puthir (PP) recently and the team released their official trailer some time ago. Quite apt with the current title, the trailer is at its intriguing best and the viewer is given the right kind of feel about the genre of the film. We catch up with heroine Gayathrie to know her thoughts. 

“Both the titles Mellisai and Puriyatha Puthir are fine for the film but with Puriyatha Puthir, you know what to expect about the genre of the film. Mellisai, even though we said it was a mystery thriller, the title may not have given the same impact. But PP does it.

The film has its own expectation and with the new trailer, the anticipation levels have gone up a notch higher. I am glad that JSK came forward to release the movie. I think the entire team of PP has pinned high hopes on the film. Ranjit and I have not done any other movie in the interim and we are eagerly waiting for the film's release which should happen in November”.
