Popular FRIENDS star, Matthew Perry, who played the role of 'Chandler Bing' in the series, was reportedly rushed to a private hospital in California, for an emergency surgery.
Matthew recently underwent the surgery to repair Gastrointestinal perforation, more commonly known as ruptured bowel, that occurs when a hole forms through the stomach, large bowel or the small intestine. He is said to be recovering after the operation. According to the medical terms, Gastrointestinal perforation is a serious condition, that requires high medical care, and Matthew is receiving that medical support.
Matthew Perry's manager issued a statement on behalf of him, which said, "He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals". Let us also hope that the 48-year-old actor recovers as soon as possible to get back to work.
It can be recalled that the FRIENDS star has also experienced various other health-related issues in the past occasions.
