FIR FILED AGAINST RISHI KAPOOR

Mumbai police registered an FIR against Rishi Kapoor for trimming a tree more than the permissible limit and chopping off its branches heeding to BMC complaint. Police also registered an FIR against the contractor (appointed by Rishi Kapoor) under Section 8, read with Section 21 of the Maharashtra Protection and Preservation of Tree Act.

In his defense, Rishi Kapoor was quoted as saying, “I had taken all required permission to do so, which I have provided them to see. This is plain harassment from jealous neighbors, which was expected".
