LEAK OR PROMOTIONAL STUNT? FANS CONFUSED!

A clip showing an emotional sequence from an upcoming Mammootty film 'The Great Father' got leaked on Facebook. According to close aids, the timely intervention of the police after the producers registered a complaint resulted in blocking of the page that uploaded it.
 

But the video, supposedly taken using a mobile phone is still being circulated through social media and is available on YouTube. The video appears to be that of a ready-to-release version with all the works completed, and so it is unclear if it was a promotional strategy or truly a leak.

To add to the confusion, an audio clip claiming to be a phone conversation between Mammootty fans and the producer Shaji Nadesan is circulating through WhatsApp. In the clip, which gives no guarantee that the voice is that of the producer, he is heard saying that now that the clip is out we can share it and use it as a way to attract the family audience. 
 

The fans, who are eagerly waiting for the film to release on 30th March, are confused and looking for an official explanation from the makers.
 

The Great Father is the debut directorial of Haneef Adeni and is produced August Cinemas, a joint venture of Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan and actor Arya. Apart from Mammootty and Sneha, the movie also has Arya and Anikha in pivotal roles.
