The whole of India was hoping that Vetri Maaran’s Visaaranai would win the Oscars for Best Foreign Film but sadly it could not make it to the final list. Thanks to Vetri Maaran and Dhanush for trying all they can to promote the film in the US.
Vetri Maaran had shared the shortlisted films for the 89th Oscars for Foreign Language category. Fans were disappointed on not seeing Visaaranai in the list but nevertheless they had some nice things to say about this film and encouraged Vetri to move on.
