Meanwhile, one of his hits that had won millions of hearts in 2014 was Kaththi which was directed by AR Murugadoss. The film had featured Vijay in a dual role alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Sathish. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film's soundtrack and score.
