It has been suggested that Joji is inspired by William Shakespeare's famous play Macbeth. However, we’d have to wait for the film to release to know how true this is. The film is scripted by Syam Pushkaran. After Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Dileesh Pothen and Syam Pushkaran have teamed up for a movie.
The film also stars Baburaj, Shammi Thilakan, Unnimaya Prasad and Alister Alex in pivotal roles. The movie is produced by Bhavana Studios, partnered by Dileesh, Fahadh and Syam. The cinematography of the film is by Shaiju Khalid.
