VJ Chitra was a popular television star who was quite known for playing Mullai in the hit Pandian Stores serial that aired on Vijay Television. The news of her demise came as a shock to many. They had begun to see her as a girl next door.
VJ Chitra was to have made her silver screen debut with Calls, directed by debutante J Sabarish. But unfortunately she passed away even before she could see the release of her film debut.
