"ESCAPED FROM MY HOUSE MANY TIMES...": NADIA CHANG'S UNTOLD STORY MAKES BB HOUSEMATES TEARY-EYED!

Nadia Chang, a popular social media celebrity, who hadn't revealed much about her life till now, came up on stage and told that her real name was Aru Jayalakshmi for the first time and said that she changed her name post marriage as her husband is a Chinese. Speaking about her early life, Nadia said that she never had any comfort in life and had never seen a bed until her marriage. "Sometimes we never even had a proper house. It would only be like a room. My dad has the habit of consuming alcohol so our family never respected us. My mother was very strict. If someone beats their child like that today, it'll be regarded as child abuse," she said.

"Me and my two sisters have tried escaping from our house many times. The three of us didn't like our mother since school because of the beatings we received. Our mother thrashed us with the help of police. That was when I developed hate towards her. I really love my parents, but we didn't receive the freedom and love that my four younger brothers and sisters got from our parents," she added.

Nadia noted that she didn't have the privilege to study further and started working as a housekeeper at a hotel from the age of 15. "That was when I met my husband. He took my number from a colleague at work and called me. He told me one day that he's seen me often and that he even saw my mother beating me. He said he liked me, but I asked him to come and talk to my mom. He bravely came and spoke to my mother and it was the first time someone made her listen. He took me out of my house shortly after that."

Continuing with her story, she said, "My husband asked me not to leave him because he was uneducated. I told him that when he can stand up to my mother, he can definitely stand up to the world and assured him that I will stay with him for the rest of my life. My mother told me that I won't do well in life. It hurt me. After getting married, I joined a big company through a friend and received a great salary. I was always focussed on work. Only after my second daughter was born, I started working on myself. I started modelling and won the first runner-up in the Mrs Malaysian-Indian top models."

"I have never received proper love from my parents, but my husband filled the emptiness. Many know Nadia Chang, but many don't know why is Mr Chang. If I am standing here as Nadia Chang, it is because of him. I have never boarded a flight, but I have come all the way here. I am not standing here as Nadia Chang but as Chang Soon Huat," she said and completed her speech.
