The caption reads,” The day Rahman sir visited us on set in Tuticorin, he took Mani sir on a music discussion and energy-feel boat ride…the whole set was smiling and eagerly waiting at the coast to take a picture with him…it was the first time I was meeting him, another dream come true, and I was smiling like an idiot from one ear to another. The only time I’ve been starstruck! Been fortunate and lucky to have worked with him closely later, for a film he’s produced. But this day, the first time I met him, remains very special!”

The picture was taken on the sets of Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Kadal’ in 2012. The film stars Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair in the lead roles.

Eka Lakhani has collaborated with director Mani Ratnam on several films including ‘Raavanan’, ‘OK Kanmani’, ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ and the upcoming magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
