Vivegam teaser leaked on the social media, a few hours before the release of the official version in YouTube. Certain sections of the media started to speculate stating that the teaser was leaked by one of the assistants of editor Ruben.
 

Reacting to all these speculations, Ruben took to Twitter and bashed all these as baseless rumours. He tweeted, "Do u even know my assistant's name who works for the film?Don't spread fake news for ur self promotion!I can sue u for pulling my name! Social Network is become so vulnerable,that every tom&dick start their media & video channels!plz have some sense before posting something!"
