VIVEGAM CAMERAMAN PROTESTS

DoP Vetri who is taking care of the cinematography department in Ajith’s Vivegam has also another side to him. He is basically a farmer hailing from Tiruppur and is fighting for their cause. He recently took part in the farmer’s protest in Tiruppur and we caught up with him to get more details.

Vetri said, “Tirupur is my native; my father NS Palanisamy was the leader of the Farmer’s Association and he passed away 1 year ago. I am currently helping farmers resolve issues. 26th May is usually farmers' issue redressal day (kurai theerpu naal) at the Collector’s Office. That day collector didnt come, so we protested. In Tirupur, I have an Yaerumunai Ilaignar Ani in which we sort out all problems. I am basically a farmer and there are currently no youngsters in agriculture. I would like to take up farming and sort out issues of farmers.''
