Vijay Antony’s latest film Yaman is said to be doing better business at the box office. This political drama bankrolled by Lyca Productions opened to some good word of mouth.

When we spoke to Tirupur Subramaniam who has acquired the Coimbatore distribution rights of Yaman, to know more about the film’s performance and Lyca production's success strategy, this is what he had to say, "As far as my knowledge goes by, only Fox Star and Lyca are giving enough freedom for the distributors, and we do not sell the film for MG (Minimum Guarantee) to any theater. So at the end of the day, neither the theater owner nor the distributor has to suffer. There is no loss for the producer as well as they cleverly market their product. At the same time, they also pick the right distributor to release their films. Only Lyca and Fox Star are doing business like this which is healthy for the industry. Lyca is following this style from the beginning and they also intend to screen their films only in good theaters across the state. We in return give them a wide release for their movies and both the parties end up profitable."
