VINEETH SREENIVASAN TAKES ON A NEW AVATAR

Director Vineeth Sreenivasan after gaining plaudits for his directorial Jacobinte Swargarajyam, will be seen in a new avatar. Yes, he will be venturing into production under the banner of Habit of Life whose first film is titled as Aanandam directed by Ganesh Raj. 

Vineeth talks about Aanandam to behindwoods, “We started the shoot today. For Ganesh, this is his debut film. He has been with me since Thattathin Marayathu till my latest Jacobinte Swargarajyam. He has also worked as an AD in Bangalore Days and in a couple of ads. He in fact told me the idea of Aanandam when we first met for Thattathin Marayathu. He has been working in this screenplay for the last few years and completed it a couple of months ago. Last year I decided to bankroll this venture.

Aanandam features a bunch of newcomers. A group of engineering students (from a particular batch) goes on an industrial visit. The film is about four days of their college life. There are 4 boys and 3 girls. It is about friendship, love and travel. It is difficult to concise the film in one genre as it is a mix of everything. It will be a road film with many feel-good factors, male bonding and cute teen romances.

We have started the shoot in Ernakulam. After this we have a few days of schedule in Hampi followed by Goa. We might have a couple of day’s shoot in Nepal also. If everything goes as per plan and if we are not disturbed by rain or other climatic factors, we will be on schedule and wrap it by June.”
