Director Mysskin's Thupparivaalan has released today (14th September) and has opened up to positive reviews from the critics and film lovers.
Director Suseenthiran registered his opinion about this Vishal starrer through a statement that he posted on Twitter. "The way Mysskin has conceived every scene in the film is top notch. The stunt sequences were equalent to the Hollywood films, and Karthik's cinematography was confined and focused.
Myself and my sister watched the film on a preview show. Though the film had been shot on a magnifying big scale, I felt that the film lacked an emotional connect, which Mysskin's Anjathey had. I didn't feel the emotional connect. So, I was thinking about the possibility of this film's commercial success while coming out of the theatre. I asked my sister, and she told she enjoyed the film very much.
There have been situations like this before, where the way I watch a film, and the way, fans watch a film differs. I didn't expect Goli Soda would turn out to be a big success after seeing the press show. I believed Jeeva would become a super hit film, but unfortunately, it didn't. Few things happen the opposite way.
I take up this film's success as a lesson to me and my thoughts. I have booked tickets for the film once again, to watch it along with the audience. This statement is neither a wishing letter, nor a review. This is just my opinion that I felt like sharing with you all. I truly want, and hope, the film becomes a blockbuster success."
It is a known fact that Vishal is into a lot of charity work and has been doing good through his charitable organization, Devi Trust that helps children’s education and has been working towards women empowerment, urban development, etc.
The latest initiative by Vishal is that, Rs.1 from every ticket bought for his latest film Thupparivaalan, will be donated towards ‘farmer’s welfare’ in Tamil Nadu. As he had promised earlier, actor Vishal on winning the Producer Council elections has decided that Rs.1 from every ticket sold throughout Tamil Nadu across the entire shelf life of the film in theatres, will go to the farmers and their welfare. A thoughtful initiative by the star. Thupparivaalan has hit screens today(September 14, 2017) and is directed by Mysskin.
