Director Selvaraghavan’s filmography has featured some thought provoking performances from various character actors. One of them is the performances of late actor Balasingh in the crime drama Pudhupettai and the Suriya starrer NGK.

Selvaraghavan express condolences on actor Bala Singh's death

The actor’s performance as a gangster, Anbu, in Pudhupettai is still revered and discussed in social media  by cinephiles and fans of the film. Selvaraghavan took to Twitter to express his condolences to the family of the bereaved.Selvaraghavan tweeted that Bala Singh was a dear friend of his and a wonderful actor.

Bala Singh made his foray into Tamil cinema by playing the antagonist role in Nasser’s 1995 directorial Avatharam. The actor was recently featured in director Santhakumar’s Magamuni.

Bala Singh passed away on November 27  at 1 AM due to food poisoning. The actor was aged 67. The actor’s death has sent shockwaves to the Tamil film industry and many personalities have expressed their condolences.
