Director Arunkumar’s second directorial Sethupathi starring Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan has opened to good talks and is witnessing positive response at the theatres.
Arunkumar speaks to behindwoods on the feedbacks and his plans.
“I am feeling very good. Reviews apart, the audience side response in theatres is very interesting. I witnessed people enjoying the film both in single screens and in the multiplexes in Chennai and also in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. I have been told that they have increased the screens too. Collection report also suggests that my film is doing good business. I have been getting appreciative calls from the industry as well.
Vijay Sethupathi is quite elated. It was a huge responsibility for me to show him as a mass hero and thankfully, I have succeeded in it.
My next film will definitely be not a police story and I would like to try something different. However, it is also likely to be an action based film. I have the story but I have to develop it. I am open to casting anybody. It is not a peculiar script and hence can accommodate anyone. I would finalize my next project in a couple of weeks”.
Wishing you the best Arun!
