The much appreciated Tamil crime-thriller Thani Oruvan-2 released in 2015 amid much fanfare and was hailed for its tightly woven plot and performances. The film is considered to be a hallmark film in the recent history of Tamil cinema.
The Jayam Ravi-starrer's sequel will be met with high expectations and the director has started working in the pre-production process of the film. The director had revealed an interesting incident that took place during the scripting of Thani Oruvan-2. Director Ram, known for several critically acclaimed films like 'Katradhu Thamizh', 'Thanga Meengal' and the recent 'Peranbu', gave a compliment to Mohan Raja after watching the film recently. The director had taken to social media to express this heartwarming incident:
