ONE MORE ATTRACTIVE FACE, BESIDES KATRINA KAIF

While the Kala Chashma song seems to have found core mind space when talking about the Katrina Kaif –Siddharth Malhotra starrer Baar Baar Dekho, another key character in the film is Sayani Gupta who's role is very pivotal to the script. Director Nitya Mehra sheds some light on her casting Sayani and her experience working with her.

Nitya admits that they knew they'd found their actor when they saw Sayani's incredible audition. "I had watched the trailer of Margarita with a Straw and was instantly hooked. Sayani has an infectious smile and an attractiveness that's very unique. When she came in for BBD, she nailed her audition and on first glance I knew she's my Chitra. I absolutely loved having her on BBD with us."

Ask Nitya more about her experience working with Sayani and her abilities as a performer, she says, "I think she's very instinctive and digs deep to get to the root of the character. That's a dream for any director. I think she's able to bring nuances to the scene that may not be rehearsed and with that the scene always gets lifted."

Talking about what she sees for Sayani in the future, Nitya says "I'd love to see her take on films and bring a number of different characters to life for I feel she has an untapped range".
