''IT IS A U/A FILM AND ONE CAN’T EXPECT U CONTENT IN IT''

Kavalai Vendam directed by Deekay hit the screens on the 24th November. The film is a multistarrer which features Jiiva, Kajal Aggarwal, Bobby Simha, RJ Balaji, Sunaina, Balasaravanan, Mayilsamy and others.

Deekay talks about the audience response, “Audiences are enjoying and loving the film. I only hear laughter all over. We are not able to listen to the next dialogue because of the rip-roaring laughter. My film was intended as a destresser and it is doing that. Word of mouth is also good which is bringing in a lot of audiences.

I am very happy that I made people forget their worries and laugh. The film has connected well with the youth, especially below the age of 40 years.

People are slightly taken aback by the adult comedy in Kavalai Vendam. But I would like to reiterate, that is the reason the film was given a U/A and one cannot expect on the lines of a U film. It is a fun ride and people can enjoy it”.

What about next project? “Talks are on for my next project, but nothing is confirmed as of now. I would like to do an action thriller with a hero or a black humor subject. I have scripts for both”.
