''I NARRATED THE STORY TO SURIYA SIR''

Jyothika's upcoming film, Magalir Mattum is in its post-production stages, and the director of the film, Bramma.G, has given an official statement regarding the same.

He said, "When I narrated the script to Jyotika ma'am, she gave me the confidence that the film will shape up good. After that,  I narrated the story to Suriya sir, who liked the plot and said he would produce the film under the 2D banner.

I felt Magalir Mattum title would be apt, being a women-centric film, and Suriya sir instantly called up Kamal sir and got the rights of the title. Not just that, he gave me so much of freedom, while shooting, without considering the fact that I am just one film old. This film is based on a true story, which has cinematography by Manikandan, who worked with me in all my short films and my debut Kuttram Kadithal. I have been following Ghibran's music since Vaagai Sooda Vaa. Magalir Mattum has four songs, and there are a different variety of numbers in the album.

Jyothika plays a character called Prabhavathi, a documentary filmmaker. Apart from Bullet, she will also be driving one more vehicle in the film. Magalir Mattum will be slightly different from Jyothika's previous films. Though she is a Punjabi, she understands the intensity of the Tamil dialogues very well. After Maayavi, she has dubbed with her own voice for this film. She is such a dedicated artist, and I am so happy to have worked with her."
