Dhanush’s film with Karthik Subbaraj is titled Jagame Thanthiram and is produced by YNot Studios’s Shashikanth. A few days ago, there were reports that the film might release on Netflix around March.
This surprised people quite a bit since when Master had released in theatres, Dhanush had supported the same and one would have thought the actor’s releases would also see the theatrical route.
Now, Dhanush has taken to Twitter to pen – “I am hoping for the theatrical release of Jagame Thandiram like the theatre owners, exhibitors, distributors, cinema lovers and most of all my fans. Fingers crossed (sic)”.

Jagame Thanthiram has Aishwarya Lakshmi as the leading lady. The film should have released last year. But, it was postponed due to the coronavirus-induced pandemic.
Jagame Thanthiram has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film also features James Cosmo, Kalaiyarasan and Joju George amongst others in crucial roles.
The first single from the film, Rakita Rakita was released in July last year on the occasion of Dhanush’s birthday. Cinematography is handled by Sreyas Krishna.
