“I GOT KABALI BECAUSE OF RANJITH SIR”

Dhansika is someone who goes for diverse scripts. She will soon be seen in Superstar’s Kabali and is also involved in many interesting films. She shares with behindwoods about her upcoming projects:

"Besides Kabali, three of my other films, Kaala Koothu, Vizhithiru and Kathadi are ready for release.

It was wonderful working in Kabali. I got Kabali because of Ranjith sir. I want to thank him for that.

In Kaala Koothu I have played the role of a college going girl in a semi-urban set up. The film begins with a Madurai backdrop. We have told about something that is still happening in the temple town. Nagaraj, a debutant director has helmed this project. My co-stars in the film are Kalaiarasan, Prasanna and Srushti Dange. 

In Vizhithiru, there is a surprising factor in my role. I can’t reveal about that. Till now, I have not done comedy in my films. But for the first time I have done that in Vizhithiru. I have played a bubbly talkative character. Combination scenes of me, Vidharth and Thambi Ramaiah sir would be there in the film. It is an ensemble cast list in the form of Venkat Prabhu, Baby Sara, Abhinaya and the likes.

Audio of Kathadi was launched recently. Karthik, nephew of Sridevi ma’am is my on screen partner. It is a road travel subject in which I have done stunts. After Peranmai, I have done action scenes in this film.

I have signed Rani recently and we commenced the film with a Pooja. I liked the story and concept a lot. I can’t reveal much about this film now. Rani begins in this month and we would be done with the film in 1.5 months. Rani’s music is done by Ilayaraja and the film is going to be shot in Malaysia. 

I always give preference to my script and see to it that each one is different from the rest. Right now I am eagerly awaiting for the release of Kabali”.
