In an unfortunate turn of events, singer SP Balasubrahmanyam reached heavenly abode today. He was 74. Tributes have been pouring in for him from various quarters. SPB was revered not only for his singing but for his acting as well.
Now, details of his final journey are out. The ambulance carrying his mortal remains has started from MGM hospital. His mortal remains will reach his Kamdar Nagar residence in a while and will be kept for public homage. Final Rituals are to happen tomorrow at his Thamaraipakkam Farm House.

Earlier condoling his death, Superstar Rajinikanth had said: "This is a very sad day. Till the last breath, he fought. He was known all throughout India. He respected everybody. He was among those rare singers who sang in multiple languages. His voice will shine for at least a century more. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family."
Kamal Haasan remarked that a lot of artists don't get recognition while they are alive but thankfully it hasn't been the case with Balasubrahmanyam. The whole of India recognised his efforts.
