"I AM NOT A VICTIM": THE INSPIRATION BEHIND DEEPIKA PADUKONE'S CHHAPAAK OPENS UP!

The director's hat is donned by Meghna Gulzar and the project is bankrolled by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone, Govind Singh Sandhu, and Meghna Gulzar. 'Chhapaak' is written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar, and is set to hit theatres on 10th January 2020.

In an exclusive interview to Behindwoods, the inspiration behind 'Chhapaak' Ms. Laxmi Agarwal shares about the acid attack incident, her life after the same, and her views about the movie featuring Deepika Padukone. First of all, Laxmi mentions that she has removed the word 'victim' from her dictionary and does not like to be victimized at any point of her life. 

She mentions that she is very happy to be a inspiration for others. She remarks that she never thought she would become a role model, especially for herself. She mentions that one should never lose their confidence whatever situations they come across. Talking about the society, Laxmi specifies that the talks of the town will never cease, but one should concentrate and focus only on their goals. Laxmi mentions that more than men, women openly criticised her more, but she marks her gratitude for everyone, saying that if they had not been this negative about this issue, she could'nt have been the positive force she is at present.

Talking about 'Chhapaak', Laxmi mentions that she is extremely happy that Deepika Padukone is featuring in it, and that she never dreamt she would become a motivation for so much people. Laxmi remarks that the idea of such a positive project and the fact that the people behind such heinous offenses will be brought to justice is a noble idea and the film projecting the same is a very happy event for her.
