BHARATHIRAJAA TURNS 78; WELL-WISHERS WANT 'DADASAHEB PHALKE' AWARD FOR THE VETERAN DIRECTOR

On the occasion, various celebrities have come together to sign an appeal to the Government of India to consider the honour of Dadasaheb Phalke award for the veteran director. The letter was signed by Kamal Haasan, B Lenin, Dhanush, Vairamuthu, Mani Ratnam, Sreekar Prasad, Priyadarshan and a host of others. The request has been sent to Information and Broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar.
Bharathirajaa is known for directing films such as 16 Vayidhinile, Sigappu Rojakkal amidst others. Not just directing, occasionally he has appeared in acting roles as well. Stalwarts like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan attained greater heights by featuring in his movies.
Let's hope that the government obliges in a positive manner!
