Touted to be a rural action drama, filming is set to commence from February 15. Suriya was last seen in Soorarai Pottru that was helmed by Sudha Kongara. The film was well-received by everyone for its powerful screenplay which is based on former Army captain and Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath’s book “Simply Fly”.

Suriya is also playing the lead in Vaadivaasal, directed by Vetrimaaran and bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thaanu's V Creations. He is also part of the Netflix anthology film - Navarasa. His segment will be directed by Gautham Menon. The proceeds from this project will go towards supporting about 10,000 of the industry workers.
