'Vikram', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most-anticipated upcoming movies as it marks the coming together of three megastars from Kollywood and Mollywood - Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil.
After the first look of the movie was shared last month, the movie went on floors on July 16 and pictures from the sets went viral on social media. Apart from the three heroes who are cast in the main roles, not much information about the others had been revealed.
It was earlier reported that Kalidas Jayaram had been roped in for the film to play the role of Kamal Haasan’s son in the action-thriller film. However, an official word on the same hadn't been announced.
Today (July 31), Director Lokesh Kanagaraj took to his social media handles to confirm that the young actor has indeed joined the sets of the film. The 'Master' director had shared a picture of Kalidas and Kamal Haasan, and wrote, "Welcoming the extremely talented @kalidas700 to our ACTION-CLUB!."

Kalidas too shared the same image and said that he was extremely elated "to be a drop in this ocean of a film Vikram." He also thanked Lokesh Kanagaraj for the opportunity.
Kalidas Jayaram recently gave a noteworthy performance in Sudha Kongara's short 'Thangam' as a transwoman in the Netflix anthology 'Paava Kadhaigal'. He also has a couple of projects in his kitty and is expected to announce the same soon.
