Popular Tamil actor Kovai Senthil passed away earlier this morning, on September 9th. He is known for his comedy roles in many films including Padaiyappa, Mouna Geethangal, Idhu Namma Aalu, and more.

Kovai Senthil was also commonly seen in most of director Vikraman's films and have also been part of some classic comedy scenes between Goundamani and Senthil. Health related problems are said to be the cause for his unexpected demise.

Kovai Senthil's absence will be felt in the Tamil cinema and at this juncture, Behindwoods sends its deepest condolences to his friends and family.
