With exactly 10 days to go for its grand release, Comali that features Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha Hegde, Yogi Babu and K.S. Ravikumar in crucial roles, is all set to hit the screens on the 15th of August.
Directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, the film is bankrolled by Ishari.K.Ganesh under the banner Vels Film International. The trailer of this film had released during the weekend and has generated a lot of buzz amongst fans and audiences for its satirical theme.
Though the trailer has made noise for the right reasons, the film had also created a lot of uproar amongst fans of Superstar Rajinikanth for a scene that took a dig on the actor's political entry. Rajini fans and celebrities who found it offensive took to their social media and expressed their disappointment over the scene.
Meanwhile, the director and producer have jointly released a new video in which they have expressed their regret over the controversial scene. Both being a big fan of Superstar Rajinikanth, the director said that he had included that particular shot in a fun way and also has assured everyone that he would change it accordingly.
The producer further said that Kamal Haasan had called him and expressed his disappointment and Ishari Ganesh has promised that he would have the shot removed from the film. He further urges Rajini fans not to skip this upcoming movie and watch the movie for its positive and family entertainment values.
