Vels Film International has backed some of the most successful Tamil films of 2019- LKG, Comali and Puppy. The chief of this production company, Ishari K. Ganesh, has planned to felicitate the makers of these successful films in a special way.
On November 24, the cast and crew of the respective films will be receiving awards from Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
LKG is a political satire directed by K.R. Prabhu that starred RJ Balaji (who has also written the film), Priya Anand and J.K. Ritesh in central roles. The film emerged as a surprise hit and was praised for it's comical take on serious issues.
Debutant director Pradeep Ranganathan's Comali had Jayam Ravi and Kajal Agarwal as leads. The film went on to become a blockbuster and recently completed its 100-day run at the box office. 'Bogan' fame Varun was featured in director Nattu G. Dev's romantic comedy Puppy.
On the work front, Vels Film International will be bankrolling Gautham Vasudev Menon's Joshua, the RJ Balaji-Nayanthara starrer Mookuthi Amman and director Rathna Siva's Seeru, which is set to release on December 20.
