In memoriam, we bring you the knowledge that Sarja counted on remakes a lot and one such was Whistle (2013), which was a remake of the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Pizza (2012). The Kannada version starring Pranitha Subhash as well too made an impact at the box office as the original did.

Sarja was laid to rest at the family-owned farmhouse yesterday. Countless fans and a bunch of celebrities paid their last respects to the departed actor.

According to the hospital authorities, the actor was brought to its Jayanagar unit in an unresponsive state around 2.20 pm on Sunday and was immediately shifted to the emergency room for treatment.

“On examination, he was found unresponsive with absent carotid pulse, cold peripheries and bilateral dilated pupils. Hence, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was started according to the latest Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) protocol. Resuscitation was continued till 3.48 pm. During this time, intravenous medications, inotropes and advanced airway was used, pulse was achieved three times (ROSC), later continued to be asystolic. He was declared dead at 3.48 pm,” Dr Yatheesh Govindaiah, Unit Head of Apollo Hospitals, Jayanagar, said.
