The most controversial TV serial in recent times in 'Pehredaar Piya Ki'. The Hindi serial is hitting the headlines since the time the makers released the promos. When the show aired its first episode, there were several criticisms from various groups of people, and the issue soon reached I&B Ministry Smriti Irani who had asked the makers to change the time slot to 11 pm.

Even after changing the time slot, the show still seems to bother many. The show showcases the marriage between a 10-year-old boy and an 18 years old girl. There was also a glimpse of their first night and sharing of bed scenes which were seen in one of the recent episodes. Post this, there were several more groups who demanded the I&B Ministry to ban the serial.
