Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made an earnest plea to the citizens of the country to light diyas and bear torchlights on April 5 at 9 pm for 9 minutes in a bid to bring people together during the tough times of the pandemic Coronavirus. Right from commoners to celebrities, everyone followed this with great rigour and enthusiasm.
Celebrities took to their social media accounts to post pictures of them with diyas and candles. Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Chiranjeevi, Akshay Kumar, R Parthiban, Arun Vijay were some of the celebrities who were spotted, taking part in the initiative that was called by Modi. Watch the photos here.
