Actress Akshara Gowda who was last seen in Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami’s Bogan, will again be seen playing a cop in a new movie titled Meerinal Thandikka Paduveer directed by Porko that has Dhruva Raja playing the hero. The film is touted to be a fast-paced crime thriller on the lines of Kuttram 23 and filled with action scenes with both Akshara and Dhruva playing cops. Talking about her role to Behindwoods, Akshara said:

"I just did a cop role in Bogan and I never wanted to do another one but I found this script so fresh and interesting. I signed the project even without knowing who would be playing the male lead. The major reason for that is the script. We will start shooting once the strike is called off."
