She took to her Facebook page and wrote, “I quit. Goodbye to this f*****g world and depression.” Right after she posted this, her friends and fans jumped in to action and immediately began reaching out to the actress asking her to return their calls and stop from taking any extreme steps.

Jayashree’s friend actress Ashvithi Shetty was quoted saying, “She has been battling depression for a while now. She had family issues, and was also concerned about the lack of work. She has shared several times about how low she’s been and I would try to cheer her up. But the problem was that she’d keep changing her phone number so often that it became difficult to keep track of how she was doing.”

According to Ashvithi, around four months ago, Jayashree had moved into her own home and was apparently happy with the new development in her life. “So, I was shocked to see this update on Wednesday morning,” said the actress.

Only after repeated calls, Ashvithi was able to speak to Jayashree. She later confirmed, “She was weeping and told me she felt so low. I told her that so many people loved and cared about her and the reaction to her post was ample proof. I asked her to take her post down and she did. She then put an update that she was safe. She was at the hospital with her mother but unlike rumours she had not taken any untoward action.”
