After more than five months of being shut, theatres in Tamil Nadu reopened on August 23 after the state government eased lockdown rules. Tamil Nadu theatres were shut on April 26 following the tremendous rise in cases during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The government had allowed cinema halls to operate at 50 per cent capacity and a few movies were released post then. Now, the state government has come up with the latest announcement which has indeed left all of us in joy.
Yes, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin passed a special order which stated that 100% occupancy is allowed in the state’s theatres from November 1 and this indeed comes as a big news to the films that are slated to be released on November 4th as Diwali releases.
