ANOTHER FILM FROM BALU MAHENDRA'S SCHOOL

Debutant director Srikantan who was a disciple of Balu Mahendra is very confident about his film Thappu Thanda starring Sathya, Shweta Gai, Mime Gopi, John Vijay, E Ramdoss and others. The film is a dark comedy - crime thriller with a 3 plot story of an election, 4 robbing trainees, and a love story.

The technicians include cinematographer A Vinod Bharathi (Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe), music director Naren Balakumar, editor S P Raja Sethupathi (Sathuranga Vettai) and art director B Siva Sankar and the movie is produced under the Clapboard productions banner by the lead of the film Sathya. John Vijay and Ajay Ghosh's characters are the crucial ones to watch out for, claims Srikantan who reckons this to be different from the other dark comedy films that have come out in the past few years.
